How can you pass up a perfect glass of red or white? One of my favourite things about dining out is enjoying a nice drop of wine, whether it be a local favourite such as Oakdene or 6FT6, or a rich tasting red from the South of Italy like the Luccarelli Primitvio.

When I go out with friends and family, I usually like to start my night off with a glass of bubbles, and at Dennys Kitchen there is nothing better than the Casabianca Prosecco. It is fruity and soft on the pallet, which makes it a great starting choice, sipped alongside a seafood dish or cheese and fruit platter for dessert. But it’s not just the great taste of delicious wines that completes a night out.

Having a waiter that is able to help select the perfect wine for your night is something that you will always remember. They help you discover new flavours and tastes that you probably would never have thought to try, as we tend to stick to what we know. One of my favourite experiences held at Dennys Kitchen was a night out on the town with my closest of friends enjoying Pizza and Pasta with a selection of recommended wines presented by our waitress.  The evening started with a round of bubbles, the Casabianca Prosecco to be exact, which then followed on by a glass of white wine each for a few of us and a glass of red for the other with our mains. The Italian Paolovino Pinot Grigio was a crisp acidic white wine, which went well with our Chicken Breast while the other, enjoyed a fruity glass of red, the Luccarelli Primitivo along side their house made Ragu Pasta.

At Dennys Kitchen, they have a wide range of wines from all over. So there is something for everyone, and who can’t pass up the opportunity to enjoy a glass of your favourite or new found favourite wine with friends and family? Although pairing wines is not a must, it was definitely something we enjoyed on our night out in Geelong. All it took was a recommendation from our waitress to make our night that touch more memorable.
